The Punjab Government has started Dhee Rani Program Phase 2 for poor and orphan girls who want to get married with respect but cannot afford the expenses.

In Phases 1, 3,000 marriages were supported. Now in 2025–26, the target is 5,000 collective weddings across Punjab. Every selected bride will get:
- Rs. 200,000 in cash (through ATM card)
- Free dowry package (furniture and basic household items)
- Free catering service for the wedding day
All of this is completely free – no repayment.
This program is a big help for low-income families and aims to make marriage easier and more respectful for everyone.
Why This Program is Important
